Objectives

Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
Architect and provide guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale on AWS
Work with and manage freelance contractors as needed to assist in getting projects done
Work primarily in Ruby, React, and JavaScript
Collaborate via Slack, GitHub comments, documents, and frequent video conferences

Skills & Responsibilities

Minimum of 3 years of development experience working in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of Ruby, RoR, React, and Javascript.
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
Solid understanding of database systems such as MySQL and PostgreSQL
Follow best practices (test-driven development, continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards)
Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
Experience with cloud hosting solutions such as Heroku and AWS
