Freelance Hubstaff: Content Manager

Hubstaff is looking for an experienced Content team lead with a strong track record of building and implementing the content strategy for a saas company. The right person will have a solid understanding of SEO tactics and best practices and work closely with our search team to optimize our website and blog content. This is a full-time position, and only candidates within GMT-3 and GMT-8 will be considered.
What You’ll Do:
- Scale Hubstaff’s content strategy across all mediums, including the marketing site, blog, and social
- Measure and report on traffic and conversions, and define a plan of action to correct course if necessary
- Manage an efficient content production schedule and scale its output
- Write and edit converting copy for Hubstaff.com
- Manage a team of 4+ awesome content marketers
- Manage freelancers and agency relations as needed
- Edit website content, emails, and other marketing collateral
- Manage the topical map as designed by the search team
- Ensure the team follows content best practices and trends that yield the best customer experience, achieving the desired goal (always a conversion metric) of each task/project. Always make sure a conversion goal is attached to each project.
- Design and delegate tests for different conversion tactics, optimize, and track across the website, blog, and email.
What You Should Have:
- 4+ years writing and editing experience for a website and blog
- Has grown and managed a team of 3+ marketers and/or content folks
- Has scaled content for a Saas company (Software as a Service)
- Data-driven and self-led to find answers with reporting
Nice-to-haves:
- Solid conversion copywriting and testing experience. You’ve designed tests and written copy to improve headlines and CTAs on a website before and followed up on results.
KPIs:
- Traffic and trials to the website and blog
- Conversion rate across content mediums
- MQL and trials from content

Annual Salary: USD 90.000 and USD 130.000 (depends on your expertise/ know-how, location, and role fit).
We get the whole team together on our Annual Retreats to have fun while traveling and getting to know each other! So while 2020 had us virtually meeting because of the pandemic, we met in Portugal (in 2019) and Mexico (in 2018). We’re heading to the Dominican Republic in 2022.
