The school district covers 162 square miles. North Rose and Wolcott are both rural, agricultural communities with a diverse population. Many residents commute to the Rochester and Syracuse regions for work. North Rose-Wolcott Central Schools enroll approximately 1,200 students. Students in grades pre-K through four attend NRW Elementary School. Leavenworth Middle School serves students in grades five through eight. Students in grades nine through 12 attend NRW High School.
